DiaowoVillage is located at the Huangsongyu Township in Pinggu District. It is surrounded by beautiful water and mountains. The continuous towering mountains make you feel relaxed and happy. Diaowo Village is both ancient and modern. It is a harmonious unification of nature and human civilization. Therefore, it attracts many famous figures of culture to live there. They are able to keep away from the earthly world in this village. Each household in the village has telephones, closed-circuit television and broadband connections that help maintain the happiness of modern life.

Diaowo Village is not only a place with green mountains and clean water, but also a place that provides wonderful food. The uniqueness that is worth mentioning is the “roasted whole lamb” that is roasted with charcoal

from fruit trees. The meat of the lamb is golden yellow. It is burnt outside but tender inside.

Tour:

Visitors can grind maize with a stone-roller and then cook porridge

and make cakes with it. Various pesticide-free vegetables at the rural

courtyard are available for visitors to pick. You may also have a try of

ploughing and sowing in the field. When the vegetables are ripe, you may

come again to experience the happiness of harvest.

Accommodation:

The village has 42 households with a total population of 130. It was

designated as a municipal folk customs village in 2003. There are 38

households qualified for receiving guests. Daily capacity is 3,000

visitors.

Food and beverage: Roast whole lamb, chicken stewed with mushroom, fried

river shrimps. Charges: 50-100 yuan per day per person for food and

accommodation.

Jingdong Big Karst Cave was formed from the dolomite layer dating back

to 1.5 billion years ago. It is the first large Karst cave discovered in

the dolomite layer in China. Hence the name “The First Ancient Cave under

Heaven”.

Hudong Water View Zone is located in a 6-kilometer long valley. It is

winding, deep and serene. It has a total area of 9 million square meters.
