Beijing's Olympic venues will open to the public and tourists during the week-long National Day holiday that begins on October 1st.

The venues, include the well known "Bird's Nest" National Stadium and the "Water Cube" National Aquatics Center.

Plans are also being drawn up for post-Olympic use of many of the venues including an aquatic amusement park project slated to open at the "Water Cube" by the end of the year.
