Steamed dumpling, one of the traditional Chinese flour snacks of, has rich variety, of which Goubuli is a famous one from Tianjin. Xinluchun is the first restaurant in Beijing offering Tianjin Goubuli Steamed Dumpling located beside Di’anmen crossroad, and neighboring Beihai Park.
Goubuli Steamed Dumpling could be dated back to the Qing Dynasty when it was reputed in Tianjin. Not only the common people, but the officers and businessmen loved it. It is rumored that Empress Dowager Cixi had sent commissioners to “find this flavor”.
In 1980, Beijing Huatian Food and Beverage Group Corporation introduced this featured food from Tianjin to satisfy Beijing customers. It set up beside Di’anmen crossroad the first branch restaurant of Tianjin Goubuli Steamed Dumpling in Beijing, and later renamed it Xinluchun Restaurant.
The restaurant is advantaged in flour snacks. Apart from steamed dumpling, it offers self-made Moon Cakes of traditional Beijing style, such as Zilaihong, Zilaibai, Fanmao, and more.
